ORPHEUS AND THE ANIMALS

©1982.

When I see Orpheus, he rides a bull
His left hand strokes a unicorns's mane;  his right
a tawny lion
His harp is slung across his back.  He sings
across the early morn.
"O layla la la lay!  O layla la la lay!"
And sometimes breaks out into words.

But these I seldom hear.  So
I write my own.
