Books: Pewtering Techniques and ProcessesThe Techniques of Pewtersmithingby Charles Hull & Jack Murrell B.T Batsford Ltd., 4 Fitzhardinge Street, London, W1H 0AH Published 1984. A fine reference book, covering casting and other techniques. It includes a list of suppliers in the USA and the UK. I've heard recently that this book is out of print - but if you are serious about pewter work, it's worth looking for a copy on the second-hand book market.

Books about Pewterers and PewtersmithsFor the Love of Pewter: Pewterers of Canadaby Douglas A. Shenstone The Metal Arts Guild, 1179 King St. West, Suite 007, Toronto, Ontario, M6K 3C9. Published 1990. This book is mainly a guide to the pewterers of Canada, and is now a little out-of-date. But it has some interesting historical and technical information about pewter, as well.
