IN THE BEGINNING
GOD created the world for his own Purposes,
including MAN; ADAM,
who rebelled at being a Creature,
took the apple (and EVE)
but despite heroic struggle, was thrown
out of the Garden.
GOD poisoned his mind with the sword in Eden,
so that he forgot his story,
and blamed himself for the "Fall".
GOD left the world imperfect,
because he was an imperfect Creator.
GOD went away, discontent with the result of MAN,
and after a time
MAN tried to remember who He was,
and full of shame for the imperfection of His World,
made up the legends and the Bible.
MAN's mind being poisoned by these books
he plundered Nature, and plundered WOMAN,
till SHELLEY woke him from his dark Nightmare
and led him thru his shadow into the sunlight.
There for the first time since Eden he saw WOMAN,
making herself as Galatea did, while Pygmalion
gazed; ADAM took her hand,
and EINSTEIN was born.
