The primary subplot in Hektor and Andromake is the struggle of Boadicea to show her love for and to help Cingeto by warning of Caesar and watching him closely. For instance, she goes in disguise into the Roman camp to plead with or kill Caesar. A second is the complex struggle of Caesar and his helper Antony to ascend to power in Rome.
