d'Inverness.
Mr
Dickson était marié à Ruth Jane Stevens
Quatre
enfants
sont nés à Rectory Hill:
-
Frédérick
Russel, né le 21 mai 1896, marié à Hazel Béatrice Smyth, le 27
juillet 1921.
Rev. Herbert Augustus Dickson
lived in the Rectory from 1895 until his death in 1915. He was the Editor of The Gazette Megantic Edition, from 1899 to
1911. In 1906, he also founded the Inverness Horticultural
Society. That is why we can still admire today an apple orchard of
about 100 trees, and some plum, and pear trees, and also different
kind of noble trees (nut and chestnut trees, Robinia, oak, maple and elm
trees). He also organized a
group of investors to start the Megantic Telephone and Company, wich
brought the first telephone lines to Inverness in 1910. M.
Dickson was married to Ruth Jane Stevens. Four children were born
at Rectory Hill:
-
Frédérick
Russel, born May 21st 1896, married Hazel Béatrice Smyth, on July
27th 1921. He became a doctor and lived with his family in Concord,
Vermont.
-
Murriel

-

Lena Kilda, born May 7th 1904

They
also had a fifth kid, but he was probably born before they came to
Inverness. He became a farmer and lived in Ontario. |
