CHRISTIAN LIVING QUESTION 78

QUESTION 78
What does the Bible teach about the burial of a human body?

ANSWER:
In cremation there is not burial. The remains are usually scatter on the sea or to the wind.
The very first mention of God about death was that the body was to be buried into the ground.  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return  Gen 3:19

Here is what God says about no burial. Eccl. 6:3, If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he

He has a big family and plenty in life,  but dies with ‘no burial’ it is better that he was never born.  We read about the burial of  kings in 2 Chron. 36:23   We also read about the burial of and ass (Jer.22:19.  Needless to say that there would be a vast difference between the two.

The wicked king of Babylon was not to be buried with other kings, because of his wicked (Read  Isa 14:18-20)
Nabal was a fool and a wicked man that did despite to David and God’s  people and  had  no burial but was cast out on the ground. (Read 2 Kings 9:26)
King Ahab and his wicked wife Jezebel and all their offsprings were to have no burial but to be eaten by dogs. (Read 1 Kings 21:23,24)
In a coming battle called “Armageddon” all the wicked nations will be slain and their bodies will not be buried but eaten by the vultures of the air. Surely and untimely birth would have been better than that.
There are other eferences I could give you to prove that creamation, the burning of bodies, and no decent burial is associated with wicked ungodly people.
`How can people who say they are Christian accept cremation and no burial when they are never assocaiate with God’s people.  It is pagan in orgin and still so among them. Are we to learn and learn the ways of the heathens ( Read Jermiah. 10:2)
