Et les atrocités continuent à la SAAQ et au Ministère des transports

Je veux vous sensibiliser encore au cas ci-dessous.  Cette preuve démontre exactement la raison pourquoi on doit faire des reformes à la SAAQ. Voici un courriel que notre association à reçu aujourd’hui, le mercredi 11 juin 2003 de : Ken Molineaux kennymolyneaux@hotmail.com

I hope so, but to refresh your memory, it’s Ken Molyneaux, the father of the son, Jesse which was in a car accident, and all the problems we had, and are still having with the S.A.A.Q.  ( story at bottom of page)

My story

The reason I didn’t get back to you, is partly due to my own accident, Jesse’s January 2001.   Mine September 30 2003.  Head on collission, with another vehicle, 90 km per hour.  The couple in the other vehicle was going southbound on highway 105, while I was headed northbound. Same road as Jesse’s accident.  Coming to a curve, the woman lost control and hit me.  Her husband died, and I was trapped inside my own vehicle, while it started to take fire, and I couldn’t move.  Luckily a friend was passing by, stopped, put the fire out with sand from the side of the road.  It took the jaws of life 1.5 hours to cut me free from the car.  I remember mostly everything because people were shouting at me to stay awake.  Well now, 7 months later no time to fight with S.A.A.Q.  I found a lawyer, because the S.A.A.Q, didn’t want me to have an income replacement.  I told them I was working for them for the last 2 years, looking after my own Child for 640! .00 wk. (supervision  24 hours)  Plus I had to close my own small buisness 4 days per wk.,  Quit a 750.00 dollar a week job.  Told them it’s all on file.   They wouldn’t let me change compensation officer.  I was told that I had to stick with the same one, as Jesse, Bruno Lecours.  Also the same rehabilitation counsellor. The accident also happened on the same corner, as the previous 5 ACCIDENTS (within 3 days..)   When mine happened, the ROADS DEPT, had just finished cleaning one accident up.  They were putting sand down, because of an unknown slippery substance, seeping from the road.   They went to get another load of sand, but I guess they forgot to put a flagman there, or flares, orange cones, nothing to warn the woman coming, that she is about to loose control and change our lives forever,...   What a joke, (lost her husband too)   The   ministry of transport closed the road, took core samples, not only there, but from Hull to Maniwaki,   (hmmmm wonder why)   Then they paved the road right away, the very next day (...hmmmm..)   Why couldn’t you have done that 3 day’s ago when 2 witnesses reported that slippery substance too you, without incident, there were no cars coming the other way,,,, or hmmmm..  It would have been 7 accidents in 3 day’s....  That, my friend, is not over.....  Anyway I have 2 broken bones under my eyes, C1 disc broken in neck (back), 2 ocipital bones (skull), one misplaced, causing nerve damage, so I can’t swallow or talk.  Right forearm magnum piece of bone broken off of.  Bruising on the brain with little brain damage.  2 ribs on my right side broken, left thumb broken with a plate in it, so I can’t use my right hand the same (movement).   3 left fingers cut and stiched.  L3 L4 L5, discs in my lower back compressed.  Right leg 6-8 breaks, plates from my hip to my ankle.  My right ankle was crushed, and left to heal on its own.  Now today, the S.A.A.Q. sends me a letter and a check for $17.00 dollars saying it’s for LOSS in QUALITY OF LIFE.   I’m on patches duragesic, and oxycocet, for severe chronic pain (doctor’s reports), zoloft, trysapam, for post tramatic sress, clozapam to sleep.  Can’t walk for long periods of time, and so on.  Anyway the point is, don’t go to your M.P. they won’t do anything. I sent mine that just work’s down the road from where I live an E-Mail.  He never responded, to my son Jesse’s accident.  So why would he respond to mine.  He is a Liberal?  But with all these problems with the S.A.A.Q, and our members of Parlament, that won’t fix them or listen, is it now time to go to the local media.  If they do not listen I am definately going to go to THE MEDIA, this time, outside this country of ours...  And maybe all of us can here it from our very own homes...  Here is my name & address:

The reason the letter is like this, I’m hoping everything is going to change, within the next 2 weeks, if not, it is definately going out to as many internet sites as I know, plus as many media members, the internet sites know of, the ministry of transport’s address is on this and alot of our members of Parlament, just take a look at the bottom of this letter.

Re: S.A.A.Q, and my son

My 13 yr. old son was in a car accident, and from what i can tell, it is not fair to any 13 yr. old child in Quebec, with a severe brain injury, especially if their English speaking.

I can tell you why they dont have any samples of anybody that is injured under 13 yrs. old In their so called pamplets put out. 

They honestly save money off of children.

Which I think shouldn't be happening.I have so many letters sent to S.A.A.Q, and nothing is working.

The rehabilitation is a joke, it is also paid for by the S.A.A.Q.  Their job is also to save the S.A.A.Q. money.  

They have qualified people, but not in the English language.  So who is suffering? My 13 yr. old child is.  

I am travelling with him to his rehab, wich is 1.5 hrs one way.  For what?, 2 hrs. per wk. They show me how to do it, so I can teach him at home.

For 2.81 hr. Thats what it works out to, because he is under 24 hr. supervision.  So thats what they pay.  There is also nothing paid for travel time, and time waiting for them to finish. 

I had to quit a 750.00 wk. job, because who are you going to get to work for that kind of salary, that they are offering.  I also had to close my summer buisness, for 3-4, days per wk.

It is such a long story, I want to see what a lawyer has to say, but I also want the public to know what is going on, because I don't want any other families to have to go through, what we are going through, right now.

The (C.H.E.O) Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, is the best Hospital in the whole World, and they saved my sons life.  

They were my family, and my sons Family, for 56 days.  

If anyone understands brain injury, they sure do.  

They also agree with me about how unfair it is over hear in Quebec, especially when you can't speak the language.

I am French ,but I don't speak it.  Half of my Family speak French, and the other half might as well do like the rest of English in Quebec,  - MOVE out -.

I don't know if you want to touch this one, but if not, I understand 

** YOUR NOT FROM QUEBEC RIGHT?** or your from Quebec and you don^t really care.

Maybe you could give me some advice, like where I could find an English Rights Lawyer, that doesn't have anything against English speaking Quebecers.

I am so frustrated with everything right now, and I know, I am angry with the S.A.A.Q, and the way they handle everything. 

They will not  even tell us what we are entitled to or not.   Meanwhile my 13 yr. old son is loosing out.

Meanwhile take good care of your son because unfortunately he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

We have some information about closed head injuries for having held seminars in our region (the Laurentians) with other parents and relatives of road accident victims that have suffered closed head injuries or brain dammage.  

We know exactly what you are going trhough.  We wish you all the courage and energy that you can spare and moast of all do not give up.  

It will rewarding.
