SALVATION QUESTION 33

QUESTION 33
Are all the heathen religions wrong? Will none of them be saved?

ANSWER:
This is an old question that has perplexed many sceptics and infidels. The Bible answer is very clear. "There is one God, and ONE MEDIATOR between God and man, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5.

There is no possible way a person can approach a holy God apart from a mediator (go-between) Christ is the only mediator. He even put it clearer in John 14:6, "I am the way, the life and the truth, no man cometh to the Father but by me." Peter put it well in Acts 4:12, where he said, "Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved." Gods says, "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else." Isaiah 45:22. Again, "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no Saviour," Isaiah 43:11.

Somebody will say this is not fair, but God owes no man anything and is no man's debtor. In Romans 1:20 and Psalms 19 all men have the light of creation. If they want to know the Creator, who became the Redeemer, He will send missionaries there, to tell them about the Saviour. But the truth is that many of them do not want to know. This is also true in our Country. Many people will listen if you talk to them about their church, but so few want to know a Saviour that loved them and died for them.

Don't be too concerned about the heathen, but make sure you are fully trusting the Saviour
