SALVATION QUESTION 197

QUESTION 197
Are there not many ways to heaven beside through Jesus?

ANSWER:
This is a question that is being asked everywhere. The Ecumenical Movement is spreading this false doctrine and many evangelical preachers are buying it.

When the Bible plainly makes good sense then don’t try to make it mean something else. That is non-sense.

What saith the scriptures?

John 14:6, when Jesus talked about heaven and how to get there this is what He said; “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The definite article “the” is emphatic and means there are no exceptions. In another illustration He likened heaven and salvation to a sheepfold. He says that there is only one door to the fold. He is the door. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:9. Again there is the definite article “the”.

Peter makes it ever so clear in Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. The word “must” is in the imperative mood. It means there is no other way.

Your sin will keep you out of heaven and send you to hell. God has no choice in your matter. You have an alternative to repent or perish. God cannot repent for you. Jesus came into the world to save people from their sins. Matthew 1:21, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Jesus cannot save you from hell without saving you from your sins. God has made Him to be sin (sin offering) for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21. There is no other sacrifice for sins. It is Christ alone or no salvation.

This is good news for sinners. He has been put in our place on the cross and God in His justice has poured out the righteous wrath upon our sins while He was hanging there. He died for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) This only become effectual when the sinner realizes his/her need of being saved and turns to the Saviour in full trust in what He has done for them. Have you done this yet? Why wait, tomorrow you might wake up in hell.
