PROPHECY QUESTION 57

QUESTION 57
In the light of the Rapture, how should we as Christians live?

ANSWER:
Romans 13:11-13 we read, And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.  Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

There are six sins mentioned here that the Christian should not be living in. They are grouped into three groups.

1. Social: Rioting (living it up, associated with feasting and revelry) and drunkenness. This is all too commonly accepted and practiced by modern Christians.  It is a mark of the decaying of society.

2. Sexual: Chambering (the word means, "a bed to lie on." It means sexual intercourse of any kind apart from marriage). It is sad indeed to hear of Christians, even clergy, and their immorality. This is one of four sins that brings the judgement of God down in the future, Revelation 9:21 (Read it). Immorality is the bottom line when it comes to moral sins. Wantonness means (shameless conduct, unashamed of their immorality.)

3. Spiritual: Strife, ( means contentious, wrangling and debating) This is a sin of the spirit of man and should not be part of the life of a Christian.  Envying, is a zeal for things or place that many others have.

Now let me ask you if you are a Christian, are you guilty of any of these things? If so, repent and get back to God.

Will you be in the Rapture? Only if you are in Christ. You cannot be in Christ by any other way than repenting of your sins against God and trusting in the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ. It repent or perish (Luke 13:3) It is believe on Him or die in your sins (John 1:18). The choice is yours, so don't blame God if you perish.
