PROPHECY QUESTION 45

QUESTION 45
I know that no one knows who the Antichrist is but my problem Is, what Is the antichrist. Is he one who claims to be Christ?

ANSWER:
Many Christians say that the antichrist must be a Jew or they would never accept him as their Messiah. This would be true if the antichrist was an impersonation of Christ; but I believe that the scriptures teach the opposite. The word “antichrist” is only mentioned five times in the Bible all in the epistles of John. What teachings we get will have to come for those epistles. The personal “antichrist” is mentioned in 1 John 2:18 ”...ye have heard that ANTICHRIST shall come”. It goes onto say in that verse that many have come already, but they were not the ONE PERSONAL END TIME ANTICHRIST. Now the word “Christ” means “the anointed one” when it is prefixed with the word “anti” which means “against” we arrive with the meaning of one who is opposite or against Christ. In fact. 1 John 2:22 makes this very clear “Who is a liar but he that DENIETH the JESUS IS THE CHRIST? He is ANTICHRIST”.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:4 this same one is called the “man of sin” and is said to oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God (in the true sense) and set himself up as a god in the temple of God. It is Satan?s ambition to be like the most High God, (Isaiah 14:14) and he will do his best in the personal antichrist in whom he is impersonated.

Are you ready? Have you trusted Christ yet? Trying to be a Christian, by being good and going to church will not make you ready for the rapture. Only belong washed in the blood of Christ will suffice. Do trust Him now.
