Dear Editor;
      I would like to comment on your May 29th, "Suicide Bomber in Isreal.” This young man called his mother to say farewell, and this is what she said, " O son, I hope your operation will succeed."  Her husband added, "  . . . I wished he had carried a nuclear bomb."  This is the mentality of literally thousands among the Palestinians toward Israel.  How can peace be possible with hatred like this in the hearts of people?  Peace is associated with love and good will toward others.
       It is most unprofitable to talk about a peace summit with this hatred existing  toward others.  The only solution to the problem is to change the hearts of people toward one another.  This is something that man has utterly failed  to do in the course of history.
       The Bible is clear that there is " . . . no peace to the wicked"   Isaiah 57:21.  Man at his best does not know peace.  "And the way of peace have they not known"   Romans 3:17
       Jesus has made peace for us through the blood of the cross.   "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross," Colossians 1:20  If Jews or Gentiles would trust Christ as their Saviour then they would have peace with God and one another.  "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ"  Romans 5:1
