BAPTISM QUESTION 12:

QUESTION 12:
Where does it say Christ's blood "automatically" cleanses anyone?  You stated it does, for children who were not baptism.

ANSWER:
The answer to this lies in whether blood or water can take away our sins."...without the shedding of blood there is no remission" (forgiveness). Hebrews 9:22. Since the "wages of sin is death," Romans 6:23, then death, is the wages due to the sinner. It was either we died for our sins or God provided a substitute for us. In no way could God, in His holiness and justice, forgive sin which has not been dealt with. God can only grant forgiveness by the shedding of blood. The verse above makes this very clear. Seeing there is no death in water baptism, the wages of sin has not been provided for. "...and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John 1:7. His blood speaks of His perfect life which was given in sacrifice for our sins. This is what dealt with the "wages of sins." In Revelation 7:9, we read of a great multitude who were saved. They are said to "have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb." "...and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Revelation 7:14. It is very important that you understand their robes became white after being washed in the blood, and not in water. Here it is again, "Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood." Revelation 1:5.

Many dear, sincere people, are thoroughly deceived into believing that water baptism can cleanse them from their sin. "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." Hebrews 9:22. Where are you placing your trust, for salvation? Good works?  Church Membership? Baptism? Trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ is the only way in which we can be cleansed from sin. Then and then alone, are we acceptable to God. Trust Him today!
