NOTE ON THIS POEM

NOTE: The poem "Forgive" was written in the late 70s or early 80s, and was published in Poetry Toronto about 1983. It is totally unfair to my father; he understood more than I knew. So "Forgive" must be regarded -- at least in part -- as self-indulgent youthful grousing.

However, I was also very worried about my father's death, which I thought could not be long. Little did I know he would still be hale at 86, in 2001!
