Living Arts has been created in Montreal, Quebec to provide you with ways to enhance your well-being, manage stress, and improve your health. New research has shown that the simple act of relaxing can have surprising health benefits. New findings have indicated that deep relaxation, if practiced regularly, can strengthen the immune system and produce a host of other medically valuable physiological changes. Moreover, research shows stress management may help ward off disease by making people less susceptible to viruses and by lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels. 

The pressures of contemporary society, stress in the workplace, and juggling between our many roles, place significant demands upon us. Burnout is becoming more prevalent. Stress levels are on the rise and, as a result, emotional and physical health is suffering.

The Mindfulness Based Stress Management Program, unique in its kind in Montreal, is modeled after the Mindfulness Based Stress Management Program designed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, of the University of Massachusetts Health Care Center, who is the best selling author of
Full Catastrophe Living
.  This program is specifically geared to help you develop the skills necessary to manage chronic stress and physical pain and illness as well as to develop a long-term meditation practice. Research has indicated that the long-term benefits of participation in the Mindfulness Based Stress and Pain Management Program are maintenance of decreased stress and pain levels and enhanced coping skills.

Whatever your physical condition may be, the yoga and meditation instruction, the stress and pain management program and the stress management counseling offered at Living Arts are provided to meet your own particular needs and goals.  Personal sessions, as well as group programs are also available.



About Gina Rubinsky

Gina Rubinsky is a registered psychologist, stress and pain management counselor and certified Montreal yoga instructor. She has been specializing in the areas of yoga instruction and stress and pain management for the last 10 years in Montreal and Ottawa, during which time she has led workshops and retreats for various organizations, businesses, hospitals and community groups.  She is a graduate of the professional internship-training program in Mindfulness Based Stress Management, directed by Dr.'s Jon Kabatt-Zinn and Saki Santorelli, at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Health Care Center and was certified as a yoga instructor at the Kripalu Center in Lenox, Masssachusetts.

Gina is presently teaching and counseling at various locations throughout the Montreal area.  She is personally and deeply inspired by the mindfulness based approach toward stress and pain management and enhancing one's health as it has played a significant role in her own healing journey
