My friend E.W. was disappointed that this particular page was so boring, with nothing but pictures.
She wanted stories. Ok, so here it goes.
Paris... picture was taken at dusk, with my camera resting on the roof of the rental car, a Peugeot
305(if I remember correctly). Yup, I drove in Paris. It's really nice to have a small car, so you will
have less problem trying to fit your car into the rare parking spots you can find. I even managed to circle the
Arc of Triumph once... I meant to do it twice but I was so scared by the local drivers that I felt really
lucky to get OUT of the converging traffic. They were all precision drivers. They got within an inch of your car
without hitting you, and they had absolutely no intention to give in to anyone. Chaotic it seemed, but everyone did
just fine. I was impressed. I gave in and slowed down to let them go by... and they were equally impressed... by an idiot
who was so, um... polite? My passengers(3 of them) were left speechless.

Southern China... This picture was taken long time ago... but the scenery remains.
It is exactly what people used to see on traditional ink paintings that have hundreds of years of history.
When I first saw those paintings, I thought the scenery was just imaginary, especially when it's one of those so-called
"mountain/water" themes, with odd-shaped rocks and cascading waterfalls. They exist and any visitors to China should
go and see it.
