I am experienced in adult education and media relations -- a published author, web designer, political cartoonist and artist. I can do a simple cartoon or graphic to help your communication needs or shepherd a book from idea to print. Having worked for both public and private organizations across Canada I am accustomed to working in a variety of settings, various constraints and respond well to deadlines.
I have recently finished up work on 20 cartoons and the logo for the Media Awareness Network -- all net co-ordinated and delivered. I worked as well on educational comics for The Peoples Law School in Vancouver and a Native language text book by the University of Washington and the Wet'suwet'en peoples of Northwestern Canada. For that book I was contracted to draw 50 illustrations and create camera ready page layout. I was co-designer and co-producer of The Capital Kids Film Fest in Ottawa, a great movie event for kids and caregivers during March break that included a colour poster and a comic programme that I created. Perhaps my biggest accomplishment to date has been the book I designed, illustrated, and co-wrote; published in 1992 entitled "Colonialism On Trial".
With seven years of University education, I am an experienced media relations officer, a teacher for a range of levels, an exhibiting artist, editorial cartoonist, illustrator and promoter of educational comics, working videographer and homepage tinkerer. These pages are an example of my handywork.
If you are interested in seeing me in person or talking on the phone -- e-mail me. Thanks for your interest!
