Craig has extensive experience in the field of database management having worked as an application developer, a DBA, and an instructor with multiple database management systems including DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.

    DATABASE WEB INTEGRATION
The overwhelming growth of the Internet has open up another access port for information.
Information that resides on many databases in your organization.
The challenge to the DBA and application developer is to access information from various data sources and display this information on the Internet in a safe and consistent manner. This presentation is intended to describe the components required for presenting data from a DB2 database to an Internet Web page.

Mike Sniezek has worked in Information Technology since 1976 and is currently working with BMC Software as an Enterprise Software Consultant. He has worked with relational technology since 1984, specializing in distributed technology as a consultant and lecturer.

DB2 UDB VERSION 7.1 FOR UNIX AND INTEL PLATFORMS - THE POWER BEHIND E-BUSINESS!
This Technology Preview will let you in on what's under the covers of IBM's latest DB2 offering on UNIX and Intel platforms. You'll see some of your old favourites from the Requirements List like support for Temporary Tables, Incremental Backups, and support of User Names longer than 8 characters! You will also find out about some of the exciting new technology included in this latest version of DB2 like "Starter Kits" for OLAP and Data Warehouse Creation and Management, Federated Database support, and the new Spatial Extender. And last, but certainly not least, find out about the Net.Search technology for high speed Text Search for e-business; go from zero to 91 Million hits per day while maintaining sub-second response time!

Jim Lawrie has worked for IBM Canada Ltd. with DB2 on the mainframe, Unix and Intel platforms for 14 years. Jim is currently a Senior I.T. Specialist with IBM and provides Technical Sales Support for Database and Data Warehouse Software in the IBM Canada Software Group. He has worked with many of the largest (and smallest) companies in Canada.

    E-BUSINESS BENEFITS FROM DB2 UDB FOR OS/390 VERSION 7
