If a person says they are saved, and there is no evidence of it in their lives, are they saved?

ANSWER:
Salvation is not of works, but it works. A salvation that does not work at all in the life of the professor is not the salvation of the Lord. Ephesians 2:8-10, gives us the salvation of the Lord. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10), we are His "workmanship," His masterpiece. Once you really trust Him as your Saviour, then the work He finished FOR you on the cross, He now works IN you. It is all the work of God. This verse definitely states we are saved by faith on our part, and grace on God's part, however, grace works IN you as a results of being saved.

James says, unless we can show our faith, by some fruit, then we are not likely to have it. (James 2:18). Jesus said that the good ground brought forth fruit, some thirty, some sixty and some a hundred fold. (Matthew 13:23).

Dear reader, are you bearing any of the fruit of your salvation? Is it showing in your life? Do others see any evidence of spiritual life in you? Only if you are trusting Christ, can He work in and through you.
