SALVATION QUESTION 52
QUESTION 52
ANSWER:
I have heard that some are going to suffer more in hell than others. It this true?
It most certainly is true. The very righteousness of God demands it. God would not be just if it were not so. Genesis 18:25, "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?" There are several scriptures that tell us that this is so.
Luke 12:47-48 tells us that the servant that knew his lord will would be punished more severally that the one that knew it not.
Matthew 11:20-24 Jesus says it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgement that for the cities of His day.
Luke 20:47, the Pharisees would receive "great damnation"
Romans 2:6 "God will render to every man according to his deeds."
Revelation 20:11-15, The great white throne judgment will be according to their works to determine the degree of punishment.
"True and righteous are thy judgments of Lord" Revelation 16:7. He makes no mistakes. There are no miscarriages of justice with Him. Each lost sinner will reap the "due reward of their deeds"- Luke 23:41. Another judgment for sin has already taken place. John 12:31 "Now is the judgment of this world..." When Christ died on the cross our sins were being judged. All who trust him are forgiven because His death for our sins forfeits or disannuls all future judgment. All who do not trust Him must face Him in a future judgment day. Hence, the blessedness of sins forgiven, as described in Psalms 32 and quote in Romans 4:6-7.
What about the reader? Are you sure your sins are forgiven? Have you trusted Him 100% for salvation? Acts 10:43, "...whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins
