SALVATION QUESTION 135
QUESTION 135
ANSWER:
What is so special about Christianity that is not true of other religions?
The most unique thing about Christianity is Jesus Christ. He is altogether different from any and all of the others. There are many things about Him that differ, but these two will suffice to answer your question:Look in the grave of any religionist and you will find their bones. Even Mary's bones, the mother of Jesus, are with us today. Praise God, He is a living Saviour at God's right hand today. "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come into by God by him,..." Hebrews 7:25.
- His miraculous conception and birth. What other religious leaders were born of a virgin and without sin? Who could say, "Which of you convinceth me of sin?" John 8:46. Many might claim to be reincarnated, but Jesus Christ was God incarnate. "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh..." 1 Timothy 3:16. Again, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:14.
- His bodily resurrection from the dead. Here again, this is not true of anyone else. He prophesied He would rise on the third day, and He did. I have been in that empty tomb in Jerusalem. There is not a sign of a body ever having been there.
What about you, dear reader? Do you know Him as your crucified and living Saviour today?
