PROPHECY QUESTION 65

QUESTION 65
What is the New Age movement?

ANSWER:
It is a world wide effort to bring in a New World Order of things. The perplexing issues of the day are beyond man’s ability to solve. The Bible mentions this, “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”Luke 21:26.

Man has not turned to God for a solution his problems, but has forsaking Him and imaging that he has the answers. Psalm 2:1-3 puts it well, “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.” This is but a vain dream of man, and God sits in the heaven and sees it all. The Bible is clear that the condition of man on earth will continually deteriorate and then the Lord will come and set up that new world order. Jesus likened Himself to a king that has gone away and will return to set up a kingdom on earth. Luke 19:12 He said therefore, “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return”.

Adam failed in the garden. Man has repeated that failure throughout history. Their effort now is without God, just like it was in the past. Read Genesis 11: and the Tower of Babel.

Jesus is coming soon. He will reign over the earth in a kingdom where righteousness and justice rule. Read all of Psalm 2: Again, “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.” Jeremiah 23:5. Again, “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.” Psalm 72:8. Things will only get so bad and then the Lord will come. His coming He delays because He wants sinners to repent and be saved. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9.

Have you repented? Have you trusted Jesus as your Saviour? What if He should come today, would you be ready? If not, it is hell forever, a place of torment and separation from God forever. Do repent today!
