PROPHECY QUESTION 48

QUESTION 48
What does the Beast of Revelation 13 stands for?

ANSWER:
There are two beasts in Revelation 13 The first one is in the first verses, Revelation 13:1-8 and the second in Revelation 13:11.

"...This beast is first described as a kingdom and then a man. Revelation 13:1 This beast rises up out of the sea. The sea figuratively, speaks of the Gentile nations. (See Isaiah 60:5) He will head up a confederacy of ten nations in the end times that will virtually rule the entire world. The man is a Gentile and is mentioned in the Bible as the Antichrist (1 John 2:18); Roman prince (Daniel 9:26); Little horn (Daniel 7:8); Man of sin (2 Thessalonians 2:3) and several other names. He is anti-God and Christ and blasphemes God and His people Revelation 13:6. He rises as a political-religious ruler of the world. This was the typical rule of the dark ages.

The second beast rises out of the earth which speaks mostly of Israel who are the inheritors of the land (Genesis 17:7-8) This man could be a Jew who is the right hand man of the first beast. As Christ had His predecessor in John the Baptist, this first beast will have his in the second beast. He does many miracles and deceives the whole world. He even make an image of the first beast and causes all men to receive a mark and worship that image. He causes the image to even talk. (Revelation 13:1218) He is later called the "false prophet." Revelation 19:20.

This will be Satan field day. He appeared in the garden as a serpent. (Genesis 3:1). He appeared in the ages since as a lion, (1 Peter 5:8) and at this present time and in the future he appears as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14). He has ministers in the world today working hard at his purpose to set up a one world order under the antichrist. The anti-God spirit is very prevalent in America and the world today. Christians are to beware lest they fall into the error of the wicked. (2 Peter 3:17). The unsaved are to flee from the wrath to come, (Matthew 3:7) by repenting of their sins against God and putting their trust completely in the sacrifice Christ has made for their sins.

The closing message of the Bible to you is, "...whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. (Revelation 22:17) Jesus said, " I am the door; by me if any man enter in he shall be saved. John 10:9
