PROPHECY QUESTION 24

QUESTION 24
Is it true that the Lord Jesus came in 1914?

ANSWER:
This is the teaching of a certain false cult and has absolutely no scriptural support. They taught He came in spirit form, but was not visible to the eyes. They also teach that He arose from among the dead in a spirit form and did not have a material body. This teaching is not found anywhere in the word of God.

Before He died, He said He would rise again the third day. "...Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up" John 2:19. "But he spake of the temple of his body." John 2:21. In John 2:22, it says, that when He arose they understood He spake of His body. Since this cult does not believe in the bodily resurrection they could not believe in His bodily, visible, return.

Immortality only has to do with a body. There is no such thing as an immortal soul. Since it is not materialistic, it cannot be immortal. The soul is eternal, not immortal. Christ is said to be in heaven and "...He only hath immortality,..." 1 Timothy 6:16. When Jesus comes to earth "...and every eye shall see him,..." Revelation 1:7. "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives,.." Zechariah 14:4. "He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end." Luke 1:32-33. This was the promise to David: "...and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, ACCORDING TO THE FLESH, He would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;" - Acts 2:30.

He is coming. Will you be ready when He comes? Only if you have come to Him as a sinner and trusted Him 100% as your sin-bearing Saviour.
