PROPHECY QUESTION 12

QUESTION 12
What does the Lord mean in John 5:43, when He says, "... if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive?"

ANSWER:
The Lord speaks here of the antichrist who will come in the last days. John writes about this one in his epistles. "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come,..." 1 John 2:18. The personal antichrist will come in his own name. He will assume the role of a christ but not THE CHRIST. He is the anti-(against)-christ. He denies both the Father and the Son. This explains him: "Whos is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son." 1 John 2:22. The real Christ is coming back to set up His kingdom where righteousness and prosperity will reign; the antichrist will seek to do the same.

In the present this system is called, "The New World Order." They are seeking to do what the antichrist will seek. They are preparing the system he will rule. They sing their theme song "we are the world." The only god the New Agers acknowledge is the "god within themselves." Any world system that does not have Christ as it's Head is doomed to failure. "Why do the heathen (nations) rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves....against the LORD and His anointed (Christ)." Psalms 2:1-2.

The Jews rejected their true Messiah; this antichrist will come in his own name, Jesus says we will receive him. The time is at hand! The Lord is coming! Are you ready? Have you received Christ as your personal Saviour from sin? Will you be part of the antichrist system? Jesus Christ loves you. He died for you. He wants to save you, NOW!
