QUESTION 5:
The intellectuals of this world tells us it is just impossible that Christ was born of a virgin. How could this be?

ANSWER:
Intellectualists tell us many things that are not true. They tell us all things started with a "big bang." A "big bang" denotes chaos, not the orderly earth in which we live.

The virgin birth or conception, is not hard to believe when you consider that it is clearly stated in the inspired word of God. "...Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14. This verse is quoted in association with the birth of Christ in Matthew 1:23. The Word of God is inspired. "All scripture is given (not just written) by inspiration of God..." 2 Timothy 3:16. The word "inspiration" literally means God expired those very words. The virgin birth is not hard to believe when your concept of God is right. "Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number:" Job 5:9. "God thundereth marvellously with His voice; great things doeth He, which we cannot comprehend." Job 37:5. If God could take the dust of the earth and make this fearfully and wonderfully made body, Psalms 139:14, and breath into him the spirit of life, and make him a living soul, why should it be so incredible to believe in the virgin birth. I could not explain how God made a tree, but I have no problem believing it. It is far more sensible than it came into being by a "big bang."

"Wherefore sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me." Acts 27:25. This is vitally true not only of the virgin birth, but for the new birth. "Marvel not that I say unto thee, Ye must be born again." John 3:7.

Only by trusting in the finished work of Calvary is this possible. Have you trusted Him?
