DOCTRINE QUESTION 19
QUESTION 19:
ANSWER:
How is it that many clergymen do not believe in the virgin birth of Christ?
The greatest menaces to Christianity are those that profess to have it. The virgin birth of Christ is clearly taught from Genesis to Revelation.
IT WAS PROMISED - In Genesis 3:15, God promised the WOMAN a seed (Christ) that would bruise the head of the serpent, (the Devil). "When the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son. MADE OF A WOMAN..." Galatians 4:4. This was not true of any other person.
IT WAS PROPHESIED - "Behold a virgin shall conceive, and shall bear a son, and shall call His name Emmanuel." Isaiah 7:14.
IT WAS PRODUCED - "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. Luke 1:31. Luke 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God."
The Bible says. "In the latter times many would depart from the faith.." 1 Timothy 4:1. 2 Peter 2:1 states there would be false teachers amongst us. The Bible brands such as "heretics" (Titus 3:10-11). "...if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20. "...let God be true and every man a liar" Romans 3:4. Christ is the virgin born Son of God.
He came to save sinners. Have you received Him as your Saviour from sin?
