Refer to 1 Cor 14:34, I would like you to enlighten me as to how this verse is going to apply especially for those women who are leaders in the church such as Female Pastor, Female Bible Study Teacher and other form of leadership in the church???

Appreciate for yr reply.

Dear P,

Thank you for your inquiry.

1 Cor 14:34  Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

The verse about women speaking is very clear:

You will notice it is not something that was for Corinth only, but he uses the word "churches."  Further he goes back into Gen. 3:15 to establish the principle of a woman being subject to the man.

Further reading is found in 1 Tim. 2:9.......

It is not that the woman is inferior to the man, but this is God's order.

You will note that Eve was out of place in making a decision to eat of the forbidden fruit. She went ahead of Adam.

1 Tim 2: gives this as one of the  reasons why she should be silent in Assembly Meetings.

On the other hand God has used women preachers, in spite of them being out of place.

When Moses disobeyed the Lord and smote the rock twice,  the waters still "gushed forth."

A sister in a scriptural gathering of believers ought also to have her head covered. 1 Cor. 11:10.  It is a sign of her subjection to the man.  He also goes back to creation to establish this as being the mind of God to begin with.

If I can help further feel free to write.

In His Service,

Harold
