The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23. It further says, "...all have sinned..."(Romans 3:23). How then can we be saved?

ANSWER:
It is necessary to believe the above verses to be saved. These verses convince us of our need of salvation. Since Christ came into the world to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15), we must take our place as sinners in order to be saved. David said in Psalms 130:3-4, "If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared." God has provided a way to forgive us, and yet be righteous in doing so.

In 1 Timothy 2:6 it states that Jesus Christ "gave Himself a ransom for all." He has made the provision for the sins of mankind. There is forgiveness for all who will acknowledge their sins and trust in the provisions He has made. "To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins." Acts 10:43.

The sin problem was all settled by God at Calvary. "...all our iniquities were laid on Him..." Isaiah 53:6. The sinner must now turn to God in true repentance and accept the work of Christ. The only passport to heaven is the blood of Christ which was shed for rebellious sinners. " ...and without shedding of blood is no remission." Hebrews 9:22.

How about you, dear reader? Are you saved? Have you trusted Christ with all your heart? Don't confuse this with saying a prayer or giving your heart to the Lord. There is no substitute for being saved, it must be trusting Christ fully.
