Is there any difference between the "blood of Christ," and the "death of Christ?

ANSWER:
The subject at hand is a serious one. Some of the modern translations along with modernistic clergymen deny the blood of Christ, but not His death. There seems to be no difference in their minds. I don't think we ought to use their terminology. We will then be "partakers of their evil deeds."

The Blood of the cross and The Death of the Cross, is not exactly the same thing. "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Leviticus 17:11. "But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat." Genesis 9:4.

These verses along with others tell us that the LIFE is in the BLOOD. God says, the life's blood (of an animal and of Christ) is what makes an atonement for the soul of man.

We are never said to be redeemed, cleansed, or forgiven by the death of Christ, it was by His blood (1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7 and Colossians 1:14). We are said to be reconciled by the DEATH of Christ, Romans 5:10. Christ was both the OFFERING and the SACRIFICE, as well as the HIGH PRIEST, who made the offering, in His work on Calvary. "...and gave Himself for us an OFFERING and a SACRIFICE to God..." Ephesians 5:2. Herein lies the difference between the Blood and DEATH of Christ. The OFFERING was a sinless, holy, undefiled life, and that was in the BLOOD.  The SACRIFICE was the DEATH of Christ when that blood or life was given.

The Lord Jesus did not bleed to death, nor was He ever a bleeding dying man on the cross. "He (reverently) bowed His head and gave up the ghost." John 19:30. "..no man taketh my life from me, but I lay it down of myself." John 10:18.
