What biblical support is there for a Christian to celebrate Christ's birthday?

ANSWER:
There are many traditions introduced in Christianity so that one often risks being branded "a heretic" to dispute them. Christmas as such is not mentioned in the Bible. The Lord had thirty-three + birthdays when on earth and not one of them is celebrated or mentioned. It is clear from the Bible that Christmas is not to be celebrated as Christ's birthday. There is no evidence at all to even suggest He was born on that day. Shepherds watching their flocks by night would not be doing so at that time of the year.

The holiday season is most certainly not wrong, with it's gifts and family reunions; but to associate all the revelry, excessive spending and drunkenness with the birth of the Saviour is completely out of harmony with the Bible.  Let us not put Christ in Christmas, He was never there before.

The Lord requested that His death be celebrated in the Lord's Supper, but not His birth. A world that was anti-christ, crucified Him when He was here, would not have a proper motive in celebrating His birth. Christians know Him as Saviour and Lord and can celebrate the victory we have in Him daily. "Unto you is born this day, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11.
