Isn’t it great that at this time of the year the world is reminded of the Coming of Christ to earth?

ANSWER:
Luke 1:10, The heavenly messenger’s announcement was; “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11. That the coming of Christ to this world is good news, there is no doubt, however, it was not good news then, and still is not to the world now. The world then, crucified Him and would likely do the same today. I would have serious doubt that too many of the world’s population ever take too long to think about His coming. In all the hustle and tussle, revelry, and eating and drinking I would doubt that the world is conscious of His coming. It would seem that Satan has man looking backward instead of forwarded.

I want to remind the readers today that the Lord did not only come, but IS COMING AGAIN. Just as the prophets of old prophesied His first coming, so did they the second. His first coming was at a time when the world and Israel were far away from God. Just a very small remnant of people were waiting for Him to come. So it is today. He said, “ If I go away I will come again..” John 14:3 The angels said, “..this same Jesus will come again Acts 1:11. Paul said, “The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven... 1 Thessalonians 4:16, The Book of Revelation is all about His coming again.

He came the first time to put away our sins so we might be ready for His second coming. Hebrews 9:26. While you might be looking backward to His first coming I want to remind you that He is COMING AGAIN. Are you ready? Have you repented of your sins, and trusted what He accomplished for you at Calvary? To those not saved His second coming will be in, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:” 2 Thessalonians 1:8.
