PROPHECY QUESTION 26
QUESTION 26
ANSWER:
Are the sheep nations of Matthew 25:32 the church?
There are no nationalities in the Church. "There is neither Jew nor Greek." (Galatians 3:28). So then Matthew 25:31 cannot be talking about the Church. Matthew 24 is speaking about the terrible tribulation that is coming on this earth.(Matthew 24:21).
At the end of this period of time the Lord will come. (Revelation 19:11). The Battle of Armageddon will then be fought with the wicked nations of this world. The goat nations mentioned in Matthew 25:32 are nations that have not been receptive to His brethren. These brethren are the Jewish remnants who will preach the gospel of the kingdom to all nations. (Matthews 24:14). The sheep nations will accept them and their message of salvation through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Both the remnant and the nations are mentioned in Revelation 7. In the first eight verses we have the 144,000 Jews that are sealed. In Revelation 7:9 we have the fruit of their labours in a great multitude that came from every nation and had washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb. These are the sheep nations of Matthew 25:31. They enter the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world. (Matthew 25:34. At the same time, the 144,000, who are scattered all over the earth are gathered. (Matthew 24:31). They have been preaching to the nations who have not heard. Isaiah 66:19. Many of them have been martyred during the reign of the antichrist. Revelation 6:9-11 and Revelation 20:4. The blessings of the Church are all heavenly, (Ephesians 1:3), while those of Israel and the Nations are earthly. The meek of the nations will inherit the earth. (Psalms 37:11).
What about you, Dear reader, are you saved? Do you know Christ as personal Saviour? Have you been born-again? (John 3:7).
